May 2, 2022 – Troy Gallant has joined the senior management team at Confederation Centre of the Arts as director of operations.

 A professional engineer, Gallant’s diverse career has spanned over twenty years and four provinces in the industrial, healthcare, institutional, bioscience, and consulting sectors.  He started his career with PEI Energy before venturing to Western Canada for an opportunity with FVB Energy. He moved back to Atlantic Canada with Cape Breton District Health Authority, later returning to Prince Edward Island for roles at UPEI and Biovectra.

 He joins the Centre with operational experience in project management, and with esteemed accomplishments such as the Cancer Centre expansion at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, the School of Sustainable Design Engineering at UPEI, and vast expertise in maintenance, security, emergency preparedness, and space planning.

 Gallant grew up in Wellington, PEI and completed his post-secondary education in engineering at UPEI and the University of New Brunswick, and received a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from St. Mary’s University.
