An audiovisual installation based on footage captured by a floating camera that looks at the regular breathing of the ocean and sky.
Ốps—which is Greek for eye, or circular eye—is an ongoing installation work based on the accumulation of audiovisual data from the environment, and its regular presentation in gallery installations. The artist has placed at sea a floating hermetic box containing a set of microphones and cameras. This collection system looks at and hears the sea for a specific period of time. This ever-increasing amount of data ultimately points to one very simple thing, an eye turned to the sea, looking at the constant and regular breathing of the ocean and sky, witness of cycles and rhythms that provoke resonances fundamental to the reality, form and evolution of the world.
