Confederation Centre Set to Reopen

As of March 4, Confederation Centre of the Arts will be resuming regular operating hours. This follows the latest guidance and updates from the Chief Public Health Office.

Effective Thursday March 4, the Art Gallery and the Library will be open as per their usual schedules. All external bookings and conference events will proceed as scheduled. dance umbrella classes will resume as of Saturday, March 6.

As announced earlier this week, all Sobeys LIVE @ the Centre concerts scheduled up to March 17 have been postponed. As the Centre team continues to work with developments from CPHO around gathering restrictions,  more information on new dates for these postponed events will be shared. Should patrons have any questions, please contact the box office by phone at 1-800-565-0278 or by email at [email protected]. Centre phone lines are available  from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Confederation Centre appreciates the ongoing cooperation of all patrons and partners.

What are Relaxed Performances?

Sometimes referred to as sensory-friendly experiences, Relaxed Performances give the opportunity for those with various sensitivities towards sensory stimuli to experience and enjoy live theatre.

These performances will be designed in a way to be more comfortable for audience members who may experience anxiety or are not comfortable with some aspects of a traditional theatre setting. This can include people on the Autism Spectrum and their families; those with sensory and communicative disorders or learning disabilities; people with Tourette’s syndrome; someone who might need to move often due to chronic pain or to use the facilities; or even parents with toddlers.
