“We are excited by today’s news and want to welcome our neighbours from around the East Coast to join us at Confederation Centre of the Arts this summer,” offers Steve Bellamy, CEO. “We know how hard Canadians are working to get through these difficult times and we are so appreciative of the efforts of individuals, front-line workers, and public health offices in achieving today’s milestone together.”
Bellamy continues, “Our organization endeavors to be The Centre for All Canadians. With due diligence and the maintenance of the extensive health and safety protocols we’ve established across the Centre, we are sure we can be. We invite our friends from across Atlantic Canada to come and experience our programs and celebrate in the arts together. We also look also forward to announcing more outdoor and online programs in the very near future.”
As announced earlier this month, new protocols are in place to help ensure the health and safety of patrons visiting the Centre. These include: adjusted entrances and exits, added hand sanitizer stations, new directional signage, plexiglass at service counters, increased cleaning; and stanchions to divide foot traffic and ensure social distancing throughout the complex. Each space is being closely monitored to ensure capacities are not exceeded and visitors are following these guidelines.
