Make Merry and Sing Noël with the Confederation Centre Youth Chorus
Beloved holiday tradition presented December 16 with special guests Joey Kitson and Valerie Moore
Don Fraser and the Choral Music Programme at Confederation Centre invite you for an afternoon of holiday revelry, with Sing Noël. On December 16, the Confederation Centre Youth Chorus takes to the Homburg Theatre stage at 3 p.m. to perform a matinee of classic Christmas carols. The large youth choir will be joined by audience favourite, special guest and Island son, Joey Kitson.
Accompanied by Sara White on piano and Donald Fraser on organ, the Youth Chorus will perform both contemporary and classic Christmas selections, including ‘Welcome Yule’, ‘In Bethlehem’, ‘Star Carol’, ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, ‘Angel Tidings’, and ‘O Holy Night.’ The audience is encouraged to sing along with these another familiar carols. This year will feature a beautiful new contemporary carol by John Rutter, What Sweeter Music. The heartwarming event is hosted my long-time musical theatre mainstay, Valerie Moore.
“The Youth Chorus really captures the spirit of the season every year in this beautiful concert,” offers Fraser.
